As you have probably seen my first article is about swimming. This is my current profession, along with lifeguarding and training lifeguards, as well as teaching many aspects of lifesaving including Rookie Lifesavers. I do take great pleasure from teaching, especially when I think about how the children I have taught now know how to save a life, but on the whole it is a very rewarding job.

Unfortunately it does not fulfil my need to be creative and since realising this about five years ago, I decided to write a book. It is hard work but eternally worth it. I hope to be finished by March 2011 and onto the next! I have many interests and delved a little into these at university where I studied philosophy, world politics and criminology.

I am fascinated by people and often find myself wrapped up in deep conversations that began as polite chit chat. These day to day experiences are what fuel my writing; anger, love, disappointment and surprise to mention a few are what give me my inspiration.

I am very happy to be here at Suite 101 and look forward to meeting many new faces. I hope you enjoy my work, feel free to contact me for whatever reason and I will always get back to you as soon as possible.

Thanks and happy reading to you all!
